Mom found this critter in our back yard. Bugs always fascinated me as a kid but the praying mantis was one creepy crawler I kept my distance from because if I'm being frank... they freak me out a little. When I went to take this picture she turned her little pea head to look right at me as if daring me to take her picture. Thank goodness for zoom lenses.
