Cheerio London, Au Revoir Paris!

On the morning of our departure, Ashley and I got all of our things in order and set out for the airport, feeling we had accomplished everything we had really wanted to see, eat, and do in London and Paris at least once (though we of course would not have minded revisiting a few of our favorites). We got to the airport rediculously early, used up our remaining euro on some butter and baguettes to snack on (like we hadn't had enough!) and walked to the security check-in where we waited 20 minutes before we could even be scanned (that's how early we were). We finally got on the plane (the seats were in sets of 3 but no one sat in the aisle seat on our section so we had a little extra wiggle room!) Instead of being stuck with only a few viewing options you could click on any movie, tv show, or music station you wanted, this kept me busy for about 4 hours. When we finally landed, we made our way through a snaking line at customs, got the last passport stamp of the trip, tracked down our bags, and were greeted by our parents who kindly drove us home! It was the trip of a lifetime and I learned so much about different cultures (not only of the people and places we visited but all the people we met along the way). I learned a lot about myself, Ashley, and the way we handle different situations (which is, of course, with immense poise, maturity, and grace :) I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to travel and cannot wait for the next adventure, big or small! Happy exploring!
