Don't get too attached... they are about to be crushed to a pulp at the hands of some crazy party animals.
Enter the crazy party animals...
Once the candy hit the ground, the madness ensued! Absolutely ravenous for "dulces".
After three piñatas met their death, we moved on to the cake which we had carefully crafted earlier in the day from two boxes of Pillsbury's finest. We sang to Monica first since it was her real birthday then lit the candles again and sang to me haha. We had dinner, ate cake, and waited for the food coma to set in, which it did promptly.
Then Monday some of my friends from the program surprised me at our friends' house next door. Jeni asked if I wanted to come over to deliver some juice the girls forgot to buy at Super Mora (almost said no to stay in and read the rest of Life of Pi...) and SURPRISE!! They were waiting with balloons and a the most delicious chocolate cake adorned with emergency candles to blow out! Mark, another student in the program, had his birthday on the 3rd so when he arrived we got to surprise him too! haha THANKS GUYS!
