It turns out the land of alleged fresh fruits is turning out to be a 24/7 smorgasbord of sweets.... I'll admit 90% of the fault lies with the consumer but they make them so accessible and delicious looking!!!! Today we were invited by our fellow Pechuga-compounder Ashley to Tulipan, which she claims is the best pastry shop in town after spending almost a year here and trying each one. Who can turn down that invite?! WHO?! And anyway Jeni and I
split ONE cream filled pastry, humph.
On the way home we made some animal friends... this little guy running around on the sidewalk in the middle of town... and a horse we always walk by that never wanted to come say hi until today. Amazing what an apple core meant for the compost can do for a human-equine friendship... best buds now.
