Botanical Gardens

After exploring monuments on the National Mall, we high-tailed it to the botanical gardens to take a peek at the flowers before closing time.

I've decided when I win the lottery, my first purchase will be a greenhouse with all the bells and whistles.Walking around in there with mist falling from the overhead sprinklers, I felt like I was back in Costa Rica- lush rainforest and colorful, exotic flowers everywhere you turn! I think I took a picture of every single plant in that place.

The garden employees kick us out at 5pm sharp. And so, after a long day of travels and walking, we headed home to put up our feet and enjoy some down time.
