Happy Mother's Day!

I am so thankful mother's and father's day are both in months with nice weather (for the most part)- which are conducive to outdoor activity- we certainly take full advantage of that fact!

This year, we decided to tackle the Billy Goat Trail in Potomac, MD. It was a beautiful day and a really fun hike! I love a good rock scramble. We ended up hiking between 7-8 miles, filling the better part of the morning with walking, PBJ's, people watching, beautiful views, channeling our inner-Billy Goat, and participating in a bit of wildlife discovery. We saw a few snakes, two deer, a bunch of turtles, some frogs, insects, birds... you name it!

By the time we got back to the parking lot, every space was full and there was a line 40-50 cars long waiting to enter the park. The early bird gets the worm- especially on this beautiful day!

Happy Mother's Day hike at Great Falls!

Our adventure guide for this fine day strikes a pose on a cliff  as the mighty river rages below!
