Getting a Mooooove On

After picking berries, and eating a few... ok, eating a lot... while in the fields, we had some calories to burn.
We drove less than a half mile to Sky Meadows State Park for a hike up Piedmont Overlook trail. It was a quick loop but it afforded some views of the valley below, close encounters with cows (and their poo), and lots of daisies to pick and nature to observe. Great quick hike after berry picking at Hollin Farms!

This here is the skin of a black snake... and it's fresh. Maybe the critter is close by!
