Strawberry Fields Bursting with Flavor!

Happy June! To celebrate the new month, we took our annual (sometimes biannual/tri annual to take advantage of all they offer!) to Hollin Farms for some berry picking and sweeping mountain views!

The website said Saturday was a busy day in the strawberry patch and that Sunday would be slim pickings. They clearly  underestimate our berry-picking skills. Mom found a spot ripe for looting and took her time selecting only the best. We filled up a whole flat and then some, no problem! Even with swarms of people trying to move in on our territory ;)
The perfect strawberry. Who could pass this one up!?

Check out this jumbo strawberry! Bonus!

We ended up getting 8 boxes (a flat for mom and 2 for me to take home!) You really cant have too many strawberries for snacking, smoothies, and smothering in chocolate!

True to form, the box isn't full until it's overflowing and you cant move without a few of them falling out. Dad found himself some wild onions. Fo Free. Beautiful day to be picking fruit!
