The Outer Banks

We got to spend one week at the Outer Banks this spring. Despite the fact that I was working while there, it was nice to get out for a stroll on the Boardwalk in Duck at lunch time, wake up early for a quick walk on the beach before sitting down to stare at my computer for 8 hours, and catch a sunset or two after dinner. We departed Northern Virginia, a frozen tundra, and returned to crocuses popping up in every flower bed. The time change doesn't hurt either. Fingers crossed spring has officially sprung and that summer sunshine isn't far behind!

Surfer Dude

The seagulls are in a panic!

And these dogs are the reason for the panic. Just romping around like a couple of beach-lovin' K-9's.

The romp continues

All smiles after the first time out on the surf in awhile!
Footprints in the sand

The rare pink cheetah crab. I made that name up, But it should be a thing.... just saying...

The gray sky made this shot so ominous, I'm digging it!

Wee little dot on the canvas of ocean and sky.

A Corolla Sunrise.
Duck Sunset
Corolla Lighthouse from beyond the dunes.
