Spring has finally sprung in Northern Virginia and I'm enjoying every minute of the sunshine (and even the rain because what kind of spring would it be without a few scattered showers?) The Cherry Blossoms will be here before you know it, and the tourists have already swarmed despite the late blooms.

| Blossoms almost ready on a clear day in late March |
Outside of the city, we have been busy preparing for the Spring gardening season; building raised beds, moving lots and lots of dirt, sowing seeds, and watching them grow!
 |
| First, to build the beds. |
 |
| Then, to fill the beds. this is what 1.5 cubic yards of dirt looks like. |
 |
| Finally, to plant the seeds and and watch them grow! |
I've also been keeping myself busy with some running jogging in the streets of Richmond for the Monument Avenue 10k ....
After the half marathon, we enjoyed the sunshine at a vineyard, somehow having enough energy to chase some roosters around.

| Chillin' in some comfy chairs in the BRIGHT sun (hence the squinty eyes) |
 |
| Get that rooster! |
